Drawing of 36 Deities Project
Tung Wah Group’s Temple and Ritualistic Services and Rehabilitation Services units join hands for the first time in an interdisciplinary project: artists from i-dArt, a unit established to engage individuals with different abilities in artistic creation, were invited to create deity portraits inspired by the deities worshipped in Tung Wah’s temples. The artists have their unique background and creative experience, including some award-winning veterans and some promising new talents. They create unique artworks with different styles, including expressive, unconstrained, short lines filled marker and watercolor painting, as well as exquisite, delicate, and concise color pencil and poster color artwork. 36 portraits were subsequently selected and compiled into a collection of drawings set out to encourage members of the public to appreciate temple culture through art, as well as promote the concepts of harmony and inclusion. This time, all the artworks from the deity series are displayed for the public through the online platform. The artworks are available for purchase. Thank you for supporting the i-dArt artists.
